The Weekend's Plans

So, if you didn't catch 2 posts ago, I have deleted my Twitter. I just thought it was maybe a bit too much insight into my daily activities. How many times do you really want to see that I'm all sweaty for running, going to Rhino, or watching football?

Anyways, have another busy weekend ahead of me. I have a 5K tomorrow morning as part of the Clarendon Day festival (Clarendon being a neighborhood in Arlington). After that, I come home and pack and then head to Ocean City, MD for H20i, which is a VW festival/show. Get to see lots of old friends from the Hampton Roads area, not to mention some cool cars. Then I should be back in time for at least Sunday Night Football.

Don't worry, I'll be safe and responsible...after all, I'm XXXI now. Haha

Well, my attention span has run out on Twitter. I'm seriously considering canceling my account...but have no fear, if I do I (kinda) promise to update the blog more. haha

The birthday

Well, another birthday has come and gone. This one was a lot more bearable than last year now that I had already passed the 30 milestone last year. Not much to mention about my little party...kinda miffed that that some people couldn't come out; but I was quite satisfied with my little group. And the choice of venue. We basically had 2 couches and a table to ourselves in the middle of the place...anyways, on to some of the photos. More to come when my friends upload their photos.

So, I can't get enough of D.C United...and hanging out with this friend of mine. Don't mind the lack of smiling in the first photo...I really was happy.


















This picture on the other hand is getting all sorts of love on Facebook. This was taken on the train ride back that night...all alone in the train car...and you can see the aura of content on my face (and a bit of ye olde sleepiness). =)

Shenanigans

So, another Labor Day has come and gone. For those looking at the Twitter feed, you may have seen me talk about how I had the best Sunday night in long time. I won't divulge too many details, but it did entail getting dressed up:























Then hitting a swanky little club in the heart of D.C. With the cutie below:























After closing that down, the hunger hit, and at her suggestion we went the a diner. This place litterally called, "The Diner". Another funny thing about this place, we actually had to stand in line behind a velvet rope! It was just like waiting outside the above club...but just to get some greasy breakfast @ 4AM! Then I proceeded to fall asleep on a futon in a 100+ year house...woke up, said my goodbyes, then did a little walk a couple blocks to the Metro.

Yes, I love this town...and I must say, I like hanging out with this girl. :)

So yeah, quite pleased with the results..considering I thought I did a lot worse. The race itself was nice...and I hope I can share some pictures soon, once they put them online. For now, you'll have to deal with this:

Arlington 9-11 Memorial 5K

It's today @ 6PM. In other news, I'm so thankful this 5k is in my neighborhood. Why you ask? Because my Metro stop and the 2 surrounding my stop are closed ALL holiday weekend! Anyways, here's the back of the shirt I received for signing up for the run:
